Spaz March Band Bio

Presently, the members of Spaz March have a lot to be excited about. "Dogs and Bees" will be heard in the upcoming John Melendez (Stuttering John of The Howard Stern Show) film "One, Two, Many." "We are all very excited and can't wait to see the final cut," says Sondra D.

Spaz March’s “Dogs And Bees” has recently been getting radio play on Japanese radio station Sendai Radio 3 (76.2 FM) which has over 1 million people within the broadcast range. Also, the "Maryann" CD single is now available from the Sendai Television Movement website and the "Maryann" ringtone is available for download (Japan only, sorry). "Maryann" can also be heard in the Sendai TV commercial for Movement. Spaz March is in prime position to earn a guest appearance on the Movement television show in the fall.

Spaz March was formed on the idea that even the little guy, the smarter person, can rock. Geek rock is a concept that has been around for a long time, but few have had the guts to really embrace it...until now. Normal everyday people are just as cool as the hottest rockstars if you catch them in the right light, and in most instances, they are far more interesting. Oddly enough, it has been argued that "rockstars", "cool people", or "jocks", are more exciting than normal people, but it is the “normal” who have proven to be more dangerous. This is evidenced by the flood of reality TV that has taken over major network television. The fact of the matter is, a regular person feels beaten down, abused and taken advantage of, which by definition makes them a nerd or geek or something in that category. We all feel that way from time to time, and that makes us special, makes us who we are.

Spaz March is made up of Main Singer-er Murville J Fox, Vocalizerist Sondra D, Vocalissma Loraine Banes McFly, Guitardo Nick, Guitar Hero Andy Vankman and Beat-Stickalist Yaniv. Spaz March pushes Pop-Rock in a way that music has been needing to go, and, throughout history, has touched on over and over again. It is always important for the songs to be as memorable as possible, and Spaz March does its best to spoon feed these songs, these lyrics, the hooks in a way that makes sense to a listener. Although Spaz March cites creative influences such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Cars, Dramarama, Chuck Berry, The Temptations, and numerous other classic groups, the genre that Spaz March proudly marches among includes bands such as My Chemical Romance, Queens of the Stone Age, and Weezer.

"Misrule breeds rebellion..." - Paul Graham

The social impact that Spaz March hopes to achieve is to nurture a generation of people to do as much as they can for themselves, and stand up against the corruption of the bullies and leaders of our everyday world. Paul Graham is quoted as saying, "The thing that's different about the real world is that it's much larger (than high school). In a large enough pool, even the smallest minorities can achieve a critical mass if they come together..." Spaz March hopes to bring people together to celebrate the fact that we have more in common than not.

The musical impact that Spaz March hopes to achieve is to never be afraid to say what we mean and say it enough times that it is remembered. Instead of writing the coolest guitar riffs ever written, we hope to write riffs that get the point across. Every musical gesture in a song has a point and a purpose. It's a shame when something beautiful is buried beneath the inability to keep it simple, powerful, and audible. We want to make music that makes sense to everyone, not just musicians, or musical gurus. We write music that you will not ever get out of your head because it is just that interesting, relatable, and memorable.
